With just 10 days before the holiday season and with less than an hour’s notice to federal public service union leaders, the Treasury Board decided to announce a government wide ‘return to the workplace’ directive stipulating that all employees will be required to be in the workplace a minimum of 2 to 3 days per week starting in January.
This is not at all what USJE has been asking for – and it flies in the face of the federal government’s previous commitments to actively work with federal public service unions and employees to design the “new normal”.
Please join us in letting Minister Mona Fortier know that this new Treasury Board Directive is failing USJE members who stepped up during the pandemic time and time again.
