Member Engagement Survey
USJE is working on increasing the engagement of our members through a Member Engagement Strategy. To do so, we need to hear from you – our Members – so that we can identify your needs and do our best to address them.
To thank you for your time, we will be holding draws, one for each region, for some great gifts.

PA Conversion Update
The process to complete the Occupational Group Structure for the PA group has been postponed until October 2024. USJE has requested from the employers we represent to provide us with the proposed job descriptions for consultation with the membership as the process continues. Current feedback is required on the following Job Descriptions:
WP 03 – Victim Services (NAT-2143)
WP 04 – Regional Manager Victim Services (NAT-2142)
Please send your feedback to Carlie Cholette by October 14.
USJE letter to RCMP Commissioner regarding ICHR investigators
“While we absolutely understand the urgency and gravity of the situation, USJE’s fundamental concern is that the use of internal investigators will undermine the early confidence in the ICHR, and ultimately discourage some of the most aggrieved and vulnerable RCMP employees from coming forward.”

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: An opportunity for healing and reflection
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day of hope and healing for those impacted by the horrors of the residential school system, and who continue to be triggered and retraumatized through the ongoing confirmation of unmarked graves.
As allies, it’s time for us to listen and take action.
PSAC calls on federal government to end northern food insecurity
Illunnata means “all of us” in Inuktut, because all of us deserve food security. Yet, 79 per cent of children in Nunavut live in food insecure households and over 70 per cent of Indigenous households on reserves in northern Manitoba and northern Ontario face food insecurity.
To achieve real change, we need more Canadians to see the realities of northern food insecurity.
