President Neufeld, RVP Skalin and the USJE Communications Team Meet Members at Milton RCMP Detachment

On August 20, the first of a three-day tour of Ontario RCMP workplaces, President David Neufeld, RVP Bella Skalin and members of the USJE communications team met with members who work at the Milton Detachment.

The union leadership met with members during their lunch break to discuss the distinctive roles of USJE and PSAC, issues facing members employed by the RCMP in Ontario, as well as USJE’s campaigns, more specifically the National RCMP campaign and the presumptive injury campaign. Discussion was also had on the topic of hybrid work, the importance of hybrid work and the flexibility our members want to see in their workplace. Four members shared their stories to be part of USJE’s National RCMP campaign.

USJE would like to thank Line Paquet of the Labour Relations team as well as USJE members Tracy Coates and Charmaine Bruce who facilitated this meeting.
