Sister Tanisha Pascal-Nelson remembered through Memorial Fund

As many remember, Sister Tanisha Pascal-Nelson of Toronto CSC Community Parole passed away in 2017, survived by husband Sean Nelson and her four beautiful children, Elijah, Nathaniel, Promise and Fiza.

In her memory, members across all regions and departments of USJE raised money to assist in funding Tanisha’s children’s education.

On Wednesday, February 8, Regional Vice President Carol Osborne, as well as members from Local 00079 and Local president JR Legault presented the family with a cheque for $8,177.30. Also present was Sister Pascal-Nelson’s sister, Trishann Stewart; mother, Joy Pascal; and mother-in-law, Valerie Nelson.

Sister Osborne said of the meeting:

“It was a honour to share this with the family on behalf of USJE. The family extended their gratitude for the donation with a heartfelt thank you to all of the members. It was heartwarming to speak with the family, share stories and hear about Sister Pascal-Nelson’s children.”

USJE would like to express our warmest gratitude to all the members who donated and our deepest sympathies to Tanisha’s family. Tanisha will never be forgotten by our USJE family.
