As a pilot project, USJE is offering its locals and individual members the opportunity to order a limited time, exclusive, USJE-branded item, at a subsidized rate, including free shipping!
For this beta process, the selection was a unisex item that does not require sizing and that ranked highest on the member survey that was conducted in January of 2024: socks!
This limited time opportunity was created to offer an exclusive item as well as the option for the locals or individual members to purchase the item at a reduced rate. For locals, making a larger purchase could support:
- include for draw prizes at local AGMs & gatherings
- distribution to new members as part of onboarding
- rewarding response to local communications
- distributing to the entire membership
For individual members, making a purchase could support:
- having cool USJE socks to wear on your feet
- walk every step in solidarity
- support a Canadian company
If successful, it is envisioned that similar USJE branded offerings could take place at increments through the year with other exclusive products.
As it relates to the socks, they will be produced by Sock Rocket, a Canadian company which donates 3 pairs of socks to charity for every pair sold. This is the same company that worked with the Canada Employment and Immigration Union (CEIU) to produce their “Red dress” themed socks. Sock Rocket has a sliding scale of price, with better deals as more socks are purchased.
