Our PSAC-USJE bargaining team is pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), one day before our arbitration date. This achievement is the result of the hard work, commitment, and determination of our bargaining team and members across the country.
Highlights of the tentative agreement include:
- A 17% wage increase over four years, with retroactive pay for current and former employees of the Service.
- A one-time lump sum payment of $2,500.
- Reimbursements for medical certificates, up to $35.
- Increased shift and weekend premiums, from $2.00 to $2.25 an hour.
- Improved protections during disciplinary processes and clarity around grievance procedures.
- New leave for traditional Indigenous practices.
Our bargaining team unanimously recommends that members vote to ratify the tentative agreement.
Next steps
Ratification votes will be scheduled in the coming weeks, when full details of the agreement will be presented. PSAC-USJE will then open voting so members can decide whether to accept the agreement.
