On May 28, USJE members across the country came together for a National Day of Mobilization in response to ongoing workforce adjustments (WFA). Taking place in multiple regions, these events represented a demonstration of solidarity at a time where many workers are facing uncertainty about their roles, their workplaces, and their futures.
Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) were on the ground at events across multiple regions, ensuring members had the opportunity to engage directly with leadership and stand united with their colleagues.

These mobilization events build on the momentum of USJE’s broader efforts to raise awareness about the impact of budget cuts. Earlier this year, USJE launched the Safety in Jeopardy campaign to highlight how cuts are affecting both workers and public safety. As workforce adjustments continue, this campaign remains a central part of our advocacy and action. Visit our campaign website at SafetyinJeopardy.ca to learn more and stay informed.
