Donnacona information picket and demonstration supporting PA group Bargaining

Despite the cold on the morning of October 19, members of Local 10003 at Donnacona, in collaboration with the Québec district of PSAC, held an information picket for members.

Their goal was to warn of a potential strike and to make members aware of the concerning status of negotiations for the PA group. Discussions with Treasury Board have made little progress in the past few months. The employer is slow at making an adequate response to the union’s main demands and has presented wage offers that the bargaining team feels are clearly insufficient.

In this situation, members need to be present on the ground. The activity was an opportunity to talk to workers, answer their questions and reaffirm the importance of showing a united front in support of the bargaining teams. As is the case across the country, USJE members are still waiting for a fair, respectful agreement that recognizes their contribution to public services.

USJE thanks Local 10003 and all who participated in this activity and who continue showing their support.
