2025 Regional Conferences

In accordance with Bylaw 13, Section 6, Regional Conferences will be held on the following dates at these locations:

Regional Conference Atlantic – October 7-8
Location: Best Western, 150 Willow St, Truro, NS B2N 4Z6

Regional Conference Ontario – October 15-16
Location: Residence Inn by Marriott Kingston Water’s Edge,7 Earl Street, Kingston, ON K7L 0A4

Regional Conference Pacific – October 28-29
Location: Sandman Hotel Vancouver Downtown,180 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 4P4

Regional Conference Prairies – November 4-5
Location: Delta Bessborough, 601 Spadina Crescent East, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 3G8

Regional Conference Quebec – November 18-19
Location: Hilton Quebec, 1100, boul. René-Lévesque Est, QC G1R 5V2

REPRESENTATION AT REGIONAL CONFERENCES

Representation at these conferences will be in accordance with Regulation 6, Section 3 which reads:

Section 3 – Selection of Participants

(a) Each Local and Section shall be notified of its entitlement to send one participant when there are five or more but less than 150 members and one additional participant for each additional 250 members or fraction thereof.

(b) Upon notification of national office of the opening date of the scheduled Regional conference, each Local and Section, shall elect the prescribed number of delegates from amongst its Members.

(c) The PSAC computer printout available at the time of notice shall be used to determine participant entitlement.

Your delegate entitlement is listed in the attached document.  Each local should elect alternate delegates who shall replace any accredited delegates who cannot attend Conference should at least 60 days notice of substitution be received by National Office at the Regional Conference email below.

EXPENSES

Transportation, hotel accommodation, loss of wages and other authorized expenses for all accredited delegates shall be borne by the National Office of USJE. 

All delegates attending the Regional Conference must be available to attend and participate in all hours of session for the event (9am – 5pm daily).  Full participation is required to ensure that all delegates gain the maximum benefit from this opportunity.

Should a delegate not be able to commit to attending the full event, it is asked that the Local elect another member to attend.

OBSERVERS

Should your local like to send an Observer to the Conference please advise as per the notification process below.  They will be accepted on a first come basis should space be available.

Observer expenses to attend the Conference is the responsibility of their local.        

NOTIFICATION OF DELEGATE(S)

Please submit the names, PSAC ID and email addresses of the accredited delegate(s), alternate(s) and observer(s) to the National Office, as well as the date of the meeting when the elections took place by email at USJEreg_conference_regSESJ@psac-afpc.com by June 15th, 2025.

REGISTRATION AND TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

A registration link will be provided to the accredited participants after the June 15th deadline.  Information on travel arrangements will also be provided at this time.  Please remind members not to make their own arrangements for travel or accommodations.
