Please see below for a message from CSC regarding postponing leave year end.
In light of the current situation, we understand the challenges that employees and managers face in approving leave and have therefore decided to postpone leave year-end until May 2, 2020. It is important to continue with leave year-end activities to ensure that leave balances are up-to-date for the new fiscal year.
This gives managers and employees the opportunity to approve, deny or amend leave requests for the period of April 1, 2019, through March 31, 2020 before April 30, 2020. We encourage managers to reconcile pending transactions in HRMS by selecting: “Manager Self Service > Leave Request Approval or Leave Amendment Approval.”
In the coming weeks, managers may be contacted by the HRMS team to inform them of any pending leave that was requested prior to March 16, 2020. We understand that managers may have had a difficult time with approving transactions between March 16, 2020, and March 31, 2020, due to new procedures to manage COVID-19. Therefore, we request that the leave (prior to March 16, 2020) is processed in a timely manner in order to ensure that leave year-end activities are as accurate as possible. Leave after March 16, 2020, will be managed separately in the coming months.
Leave or amendment transactions that have not been approved or denied by April 30, 2020, will be automatically approved on May 2, 2020, during the Leave Year-end process. Leave transactions in delete status on April 30, 2020, will be automatically denied on May 2, 2020. The following notation will automatically be made in the Supervisor’s Comments: “System generated approval process for Leave Year-end.”
