National Local Presidents Meeting 2024

On June 11, USJE welcomed Local Presidents from across Canada to Ottawa for the 2024 National Local Presidents Meeting.

The potential strike by Canada Borders Services Agency staff posed a significant risk to some members’ travel arrangements, but in the end over 120 Local Presidents were able to participate, with 15 Presidents not able attend.

Dental Plan: PSAC pushes for improvements during arbitration hearing

PSAC made its case to improve the Public Service Dental Care Plan (PSDCP) at an arbitration hearing between the union and Treasury Board on June 14, after negotiations to improve the plan for over 185,000 federal public service workers broke down earlier this year.
