On this last day, special speakers spoke on Customs and Immigration Union members in a legal strike position as of Thursday, June 6. CIU distributed t-shirts to all participants to be worn during their upcoming strike action.
The Convention ended with a ceremony performed by an Anishinaabe Elder.
All in all, this 20th National triennial convention has been the occasion to reflect on the historical strike of 2023 and the direction towards which PSAC members want to take their union in the coming years. In an uncertain world with challenging economic times ahead, the union movement remains a reliable source of support and strength.
