Sunday, May 26th – USJE representatives held a preliminary caucus meeting this morning ahead of the official start of the PSAC National Triennial Convention in Ottawa.
Chaired by National President David Neufeld, the caucus was convened to review the resolutions tabled by USJE that will come up for debate during convention. Such preliminary consultations are essential to ensure harmonized strategy across the delegation. It also affords the leadership time to consider last-minute developments.
RVPs Osborne, Colterman, Havard and Johnston, who sit on different PSAC committees, were able to provide updates on the various developments within their respective roles.
Sharon DeSousa and Alex Silas, respectively candidates for National President and National Executive Vice President of PSAC, addressed the caucus ahead of the Convention.

PSAC’s National Triennial Convention is set to begin on Monday May 27th at Ottawa’s Shaw Center. Delegates from across Canada will be in attendance for the first such Convention since the historical public service strike of April 2023.
