USJE mourns the passing of Stéphane Lampron

It is with great sadness that USJE learned of the sudden passing of USJE member Stéphane Lampron, an instructor at Drummond Institution in Québec and member of Local 10032. Our hearts and prayers go out to Stéphane’s family, friends, work and union colleagues.

Stéphane was lost to us on Tuesday, June 9, after a car accident in Saint- Valère.

Stéphane began his career at CORCAN in Correctional Services Canada in 2007, and held several positions, including as an instructor at Cowansville Institution. His latest position was as an instructor in CORCAN’s manufacturing program, and recently, he also helped CORCAN Textiles to produce gowns and masks for the Covid-19 response.

For details of the visitation hours and funeral service this weekend, and to leave a message for Stéphane’s family, see the Centre Funéraire Yves Houle.

We encourage any members who are feeling overwhelmed to reach out to their Employee Assistance Program (EAP) or the Critical Incident Stress Management Program (CISM). Your Local Executive and Regional Vice-President are also available to support you through this difficult time.
