USJE National President visits three federal correctional facilities

I recently had the opportunity as newly elected USJE National President to visit three federal correctional facilities (Grand Valley Institution, Millhaven Institution and Collin’s Bay Institution) in Ontario alongside Members of Parliament Pam Damoff, Valerie Bradford and Tim Louis.

Regional Vice-Président Bill Bailey also joined me for the Kingston part of the tour. It’s wonderful to see the interest in public safety among Parliamentarians, especially when it comes to the crucial rehabilitation of federal offenders.

USJE’s members who work in Corrections, the RCMP, Justice and other agencies and departments with a public safety mandate are making a big difference every day, no matter what their roles.

I look forward to visiting more sites with RVPs, Members of Parliament, and elected officials in the months ahead.
