Where’s Mona? USJE members in Quebec participate in PSAC’s National Day of Action

USJE members from seven Locals in Québec showed up in droves to take part in PSAC’s National Day of Action on November 28th. At the crack of dawn at the sites of Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Laval, Joliette et Drummondville, members gathered for information pickets rejecting the insulting 2% wage offer from Treasury Board.

Flyers denouncing the absence of Treasury Board Minister Mona Fortier during negotiations were handed out to drivers. Our members keep Canadians safe every day and deserve better than a Minister missing in action from the bargaining table. The information pickets encouraged our fellow citizens to ask themselves the same question nagging USJE members: Where’s Mona?

Response from the public was very positive and members expressed great satisfaction with the mobilization push. USJE members are demanding a 13.5% raise over three years. Everyone agrees that 2% is meant for milk.
