CR-03s and CR-04s are at the heart of many workplaces in the public safety realm. They support operational environments that are critical to the public safety network.
USJE is advocating for meaningful, concrete changes to improve working conditions and improve fairness for CR-03s and CR-04s:
- Accurate job descriptions, proper classification and equitable pay aligned with actual duties
- Comprehensive and dynamic training to support complex and evolving responsibilities
- Safe, accessible, and properly equipped workspaces, with access to specialized mental health supports
- Clear advancement pathways supported by respectful and informed management practices
We encourage you to share your feedback on the following issues:
- Misclassification and outdated job structures
- Excessive workloads and insufficient training
- Unsafe working conditions (physical and psychological)
- Barriers to career advancement and lack of recognition
USJE is bringing these concerns forward to the Treasury Board and bargaining tables, while continuing to engage members and pushing for reforms that reflect the true value of this work.
It’s time to get this right.
