Ratification kits now available

PSAC has provided ratification kits for each bargaining group.

Members will soon be invited to participate in a ratification process. Details will be shared as soon as they are available.

To ensure that you receive all updates and can participate in the ratification process, please update your contact information in PSAC’s member portal.

Strike pay

PSAC strike pay began processing on Thursday, April 27, and most members have received strike pay for the first three strike dates: April 19, 20, and 21.

There has been a delay in processing the balance of the strike days, as well as manual entries and accommodation requests. Those should all be issued by e-transfer and cheques this week.

If after two strike payments you still have errors with your strike pay, please submit a request for PSAC to resolve the problem using this form.

USJE top-up payments will be processed after PSAC payments. To ensure you receive your pay promptly, please complete this direct deposit form.

Post-strike survey

As you know, the PSAC strike of 2023 was a strike action of historical proportions. Thank you for completing our survey. Your responses will help us to optimize our strike management model in the future.

CSC Indigenous Employees: Round Table with National President

In March 2023, some Indigenous CSC employees in the Kingston area approached USJE about re-igniting the dialogue on better supporting Indigenous employees within CSC in their crucial work with federal offenders.

With this in mind, USJE is convening a National Virtual Townhall for Indigenous-identified employees on Thursday, May 19 at 8 p.m. ET with National President David Neufeld and National Vice President Lynette Robinson.

If you are an Indigenous identified employee within the Correctional Service of Canada, please join us for this Virtual Town Hall by registering with the USJE communications team at USJEcommunicationsSESJ@psac-afpc.com.

FOS update

In order to develop the next steps of the Food Services Officer campaign, we are establishing a national working group of FOS.

RVPs will be organizing regional meetings to provide a campaign update and to seek volunteers who would like to serve on the national working group and determine the next steps of the campaign.

The national working group will be meeting on May 25 at 6 p.m. Eastern time on Zoom.

Congratulations to USJE RVP Kirsty Havard on her re-election as Alternate REVP for PSAC BC!
