The final day of the week-long site visit tour concluded with a visit to the Wetaskiwin RCMP detachment. The USJE-PSAC team had also planned to visit the Leduc RCMP detachment, but due to the labour dispute at Air Canada, elected officials had to depart early to avoid any disruption.
Seven USJE members were in attendance and were engaged in the conversation. They shared their thoughts and perspective on Bill 49 and its implications. The membership in attendance also asked questions pertaining to the bargaining process and the current state of negotiations.
USJE and PSAC would like to thank all the members that facilitated the site visits this past week and participated in the RCMP campaign by profiling their work.
