RVP Wesselby shared concerns around the workloads of members within CSC and how it is affecting their mental health and work life balance. Petitpas Taylor, having been Minister of Health during the first Trudeau government, was particularly interested on how the COVID-19 pandemic affected the membership.

Addressing mental health and improved safety measures in L Division
National Vice-President Lynette Robinson and three Islander DSAs met with Chief Superintendent Derek Santosuosso at the RCMP HQ in Charlottetown on September 16th. They discussed several important matters with Santosuosso, including appropriate onboarding training, mental health awareness and improved safety conditions.
Mobilizing for bargaining at BC’s Mountain and Kent Institutions
USJE and PSAC held a mobilization event for members at BC’s Mountain and Kent Institutions on September 28. Organized by PSAC East Fraser Valley Area Council, the event was an opportunity to discuss bargaining strategies and issues that impact our members.
