Education on Menopause in the workplace at the RCMP  

USJE National Vice President, Lynette Robinson, who serves as the Employee Co-chair for the RCMP National Health and Safety Policy Committee, raised the importance of education on menopause in the workplace at the May 21st meeting.  With unanimous agreement from the Committee, a formal recommendation was made to the Chief Human Resource Officer to include education on menopause within the RCMP.

On July 26, National President David Neufeld, RVP Zoe Johnston and members of the Communications team completed their tour of RCMP sites in British Columbia with a visit to the forensic labs at E Division Headquarters and a meeting with E Division Commanding Officer, Dwayne McDonald.

USJE Leadership and Communications Team visit Hope and Kamloops RCMP Detachments

On July 24—day 2 of USJE’s RCMP tour in British Columbia—the USJE team started the morning at Hope Detachment, where Staff Sargeant Mike Sargent provided information on the day-to-day operations of the area’s detachment. The fourteen police officers are supported by only one Detachment Service Assistant (DSA) and three municipal workers.
