The delegation learned about Turning Leaf’s remarkable work supporting people who have confronted major barriers such as homelessness, addictions, discrimination, sexual exploitation, societal stigmas, lack of access to meaningful employment and/or resources, and behaviour that brings them into conflict with the law.

USJE supports housing initiative for women and children who have experienced abuse
RVP Andréanne Samson presented a cheque for $10,000 to Le Parados, a housing initiative in Montreal for women and children who have experienced abuse. This initiative will provide crucial transitional housing, supporting women and children as they shift from living in shelters to permanent housing.
