Behind the scenes at the RCMP – tell us about your work 

This year, USJE plans to showcase the work of USJE’s members at the RCMP who are the operational backbone and play a crucial role in keeping Canadians safe.

Over the next few months, USJE representatives will be visiting RCMP sites across Canada to speak with members. We’re looking for volunteers who are willing to share their stories on video, audio, or in an article with a profile photo.

The National President, in consultation with the chair and co-chair of the committee selected Tyler Monteith (RCMP, Prairies) and Ian Reodica (RCMP, Ontario) as the new members of the Health and Safety committee.

Food Services Officers employed by the Correctional Service of Canada who are members of USJE met virtually on January 23 to provide an update from each region, discuss common issues and develop a strategy for moving forward.

Research Participants Needed for Research on the Mental Health and Wellbeing Experiences of Legal Support Staff

USJE is inviting legal assistants, clerks, and support staff from Justice Canada and PPSC to take part in a study about the stress they experience on the job. By participating in a one-hour interview, employees will help USJE advocate for improved mental health supports, reduced workloads and better compensation.
