The Treasury Board claims process for Phoenix has recently been expanded to cover financial losses caused by Phoenix related tax implications for the 2017 tax year. PSAC encourages members to review the new eligibility, and file a claim if applicable.

Grievance resolved: Calculation of supervisory differential and inmate training differential
On September 6, 2013 the employer revised their methods of calculating the supervisory differential (SD) and inmate training differential (ITD) earned on acting assignments, causing employees to receive less money. The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) filed a policy grievance in response.

USJE donates $5,000 to Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Assistance Program on Jersey Day
The National Executive of the Union of Safety and Justice Employees unanimously approved a donation in the amount of $5,000 to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Assistance Program. USJE’s National Executive also expresses its deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the tragic accident on April 6th in Saskatchewan.
USJE members fill five spots on PSAC bargaining teams
In a significant development this week, five USJE delegates to the PSAC’s National Bargaining Conference were chosen as members of bargaining teams for the PA, SV and EB groups. This represents the first time in the past fifteen years that USJE has had so many members on PSAC bargaining teams.
