Every USJE local has the capacity to make its own decision in regards to the “topping up” of PSAC’s regular strike pay.

If you were scheduled to work weekend shifts, you’re still on strike, and must not report to work. Please complete this form for members scheduled to work over the weekend so that you can register for alternate strike support arrangements and receive strike pay.

Some of USJE’s members have been contacting us about whether or not progress is being made at the bargaining table. While we know the strike is definitely having an impact, it is the Public Service Alliance of Canada’s bargaining teams that are heavily involved in these discussions.

At the crack of dawn, members from all Components within the PSAC family joined picket lines at a variety of federal workplaces across Canada. 

We are so proud that USJE’s members answered the call to join their fellow union members on the picket lines from coast to coast to coast.

Many members have received messaging from their managers that they need to “check in” daily during a strike, by phone, email, text, or other means. You do not need to do so!

Three years ago, the worst mass shooting incident in the history of our country claimed the lives of 22 innocent people in Nova Scotia, and deeply affected thousands more.

Picket lines will go up across the country April 19 as more than 155,000 Public Service Alliance of Canada members working for Treasury Board and Canada Revenue Agency begin strike action.  

This morning, PSAC announced that if there is no deal reached by 9 p.m. ET tomorrow, April 18, we will launch a national general strike beginning at 12:01 AM ET Wednesday, April 19 for all our 155,000 PSAC members working for both CRA and Treasury Board.
