USJE National Top-Up payments were processed two weeks ago for those members who had previously provided their banking information to the USJE finance team. For all members who did not provide banking information, cheques were mailed last week and should arrive shortly.

USJE Responds to the Report of the Mass Casualty Commission

The Union of Safety and Justice Employees has reviewed the recommendations from the Mass Casualty Commission, which undertook a rigorous examination of the events leading up and in response to the murder of 22 individuals in Nova Scotia in April 2020 by a lone gunman who disguised himself as a police officer.

USJE Visit Members in Iqaluit: Meet with Member of Parliament, Lori Idlout

This past week, National President, David Neufeld and USJE Regional Vice-Presidents, Valda Behrens (RCMP, Justice, PPSC Alberta, NWT and Nunavut) and Carol Osborne (CSC Community- Parole Board of Canada- East) traveled to Iqaluit to visit our members in the RCMP, Justice, Public Prosecutions Canada and Correctional Service of Canada (Community).  The last visit USJE made to Iqaluit occurred in July 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
